1. Countries with Visa-Free Entry

On March 7, 2025, the Government issued Resolution 44/NQ-CP, granting visa exemptions for citizens of certain countries.

Citizens of the following 12 countries are exempt from visa requirements for a stay of up to 45 days from the date of entry, regardless of passport type or purpose of entry, provided they meet all entry conditions under Vietnamese law: Federal Republic of Germany, Republic of France, Republic of Italy, Kingdom of Spain, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Russian Federation, Japan, Republic of Korea, Kingdom of Denmark, Kingdom of Sweden, Kingdom of Norway, Republic of Finland.

This policy is effective from March 15, 2025, to March 14, 2028, and may be extended per Vietnamese law.

2. Countries with Conditional Unilateral Visa Exemption

Bilateral visa exemption is a reciprocal policy where Vietnam exempts visas for citizens of certain countries, and those countries exempt visas for Vietnamese citizens.

Under Resolution 11/NQ-CP dated January 15, 2025, visa exemptions are granted for the 2025 Tourism Promotion Program for citizens of the Republic of Poland, Czech Republic, and Swiss Confederation.

These citizens are exempt from visa requirements for a stay of up to 45 days from the date of entry for tourism purposes, organized by international travel service businesses in Vietnam, regardless of passport type, provided they meet all entry conditions under Vietnamese law.

This policy is effective from March 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, under the 2025 Tourism Promotion Program.

Thus, citizens of the Republic of Poland, Czech Republic, and Swiss Confederation can enter Vietnam for tourism without a visa from March 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025.
